Pain Management Pre-Op Instructions
PLEASE CALL YOUR PHYSICIAN FOR COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS.
Follow all the instructions given to you by your physician for this procedure.
Please arrive at our Center 1 hour prior to your procedure in order to complete the registration process and in order for our staff to appropriately prepare you for your procedure.
You must have someone to drive you home following these procedures, unless otherwise instructed by your physician.
Not all patients will receive sedation for these procedures; it depends upon the type of procedure & your physician's preferences. If you have sedation, YOU MUST have someone to drive you home afterwards.
If you are taking a blood thinner, such as Coumadin, Plavix or aspirin, please consult your physician on the number of days to discontinue these medications prior to your procedure.
If you have any X-ray films, MRI's or CT's, please remember to bring these films with you on the day of your procedure, unless otherwise instructed by your physician.
If you are having sedation for this procedure, you must have an empty stomach. Do not eat for 6 hours and 4 hours prior to your precedure
If you take blood pressure medications, please take your medication as normal with a sip of water on the day of your procedure, unless otherwise instructed differently by your physician.
It is recommended that you wear loose fitting clothing for these procedures.
